Certification and Standards Compliance
Thanner A/S is certified to produce components according to the Marine Equipment Directive (MED), the Transportable Pressure Equipment Directive (TPED/ADR2017), and to ISO and IMO standards.
Thanner A/S Product Range
Gas Inflation Systems
The Thanner range of equipment includes gas inflation systems for CO2/N2, N2, and compressed air, with a working pressure of up to 300 bars (4350 Psi). Thanner has been producing these systems since the company’s founding, continuously improving and expanding the range to meet quality, functionality, and approval requirements. The approvals include MED, TPED/ADR2017, and ISO 15738.
Safety Release Hooks
Thanner also manufactures Safety Release Hooks for Davit-launched life rafts and inflatable rescue boats, covering a safe working load (SWL) range of up to 50 KN. These hooks have been in production since 1992 and are approved according to MED and IMO requirements, with further approvals from Transport Canada, the Iceland Maritime Administration, and the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.
Hydrostatic Release Units
Thanner offers both serviceable and disposable Hydrostatic Release Units (HRUs), which have been produced since 1984. The range includes units for SOLAS equipment, approved by MED and ISO 15734. Additional approvals include the US Coast Guard, Transport Canada, Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, and Iceland Maritime Administration. Versions are available for manual and remote activation, as well as special applications, with release depths ranging from 1 meter to 50 meters.
